Book a PAT Test Today
Ideally yes, but in an organised, systematic way so as not to be disruptive. However, if equipment cannot be turned off for any reason, we will conduct either a visual inspection or a live earth bond test if achievable.
This will depend entirely on how many appliances you have, and types as some testing can take considerably longer to conduct.
No, our engineers use hand-held battery operated testing machines and when an appliance is plugged into the machine, it creates its own circuit.
This will depend on your individual site risk assessment but, you need to consider your specific health & safety recommendations and any stipulations your insurance company may have.
When we fail an appliance, we report this to the ‘responsible person’ and discuss the best outcome. Often, the appliance is beyond repair so we will either remove the fuse or cut the plug off. This is always agreed with the client in the first instance. If we can repair the appliance, then we will, and have it back in service.
We have engineers in every town and city throughout the UK and registered offices in Devon and London. We deliver the highest quality and personal service and are local to everywhere.
If you are using a laptop regularly, it is the lead and adaptor that should be inspected and tested annually. If it is static computers and monitors we normally suggest every 3-4 years, although the leads and certainly extension leads will require 1-2 year testing.
We will e-mail you the test results in excel format, detailing every appliance by its own unique ID number, test result and location. You will also receive a testing certificate and reminder nearer the time your PAT is due again.
We go by the month the PAT was last done and not the day itself, so we can always reassure you by stating this in an e-mail as part of an audit trail should there be a health & safety enquiry.
Generally, the rate is more competitive the greater the volume of testing required. However, this does not devalue our quality of service to you.
Of course the more the merrier, and we try and ask for 1-2 weeks for the larger jobs. But small jobs can often be accommodated at short notice if they are urgent.
